We digitize and streamline employees' work tasks in Business Central (formerly NAV) - or where employees need data, for example from their mobile phones, on a website, in a webshop or through Office 365. Project definition

Common vision for the project

We enter the process early when your company needs new IT solutions to solve concrete challenges and realize your visions.

In the project definition, we work with management to identify challenges and goals, after which we advise and, at the overall level, put together a solution platform that can support the company's strategy, development plans and visions. Early in the process, it is important to align the company's ambition level and finances to realize the visions.

Together, we create a plan for subprojects, define financial frameworks and deliver an offer that matches your immediate and overall wishes for the new solution platform and the implementation project itself.

The offer lists the expected and overall project finances, but is initially often simply an agreement to carry out the forthcoming analysis in the VisionScope process.

Analysis

Needs Clarification Workshops

On the agreed VisionScope workshops we lift the lid on the engine room with decades of insight and help analyze your needs and find the right IT solution — either through standard solutions and features, customizations or through adjustments to your workflows.

We get to identify your critical workflows and challenge any old habits and (expensive) specialized programming in the old system - against best practice in a standardized and modern cloud solution.

Should there be a need for customizations, integrations and/or apps to optimize the processes, we document this in a VisionScope document for the overall solution and the project.

Through the VisionScope document, we ensure common insight and agreement on a solution composition that meets your needs and forms the IT platform to realize your visions.

After that, Vision People is happy to offer a fixed price offer to develop and implement the solution and project, as it is finally defined within the VisionScope document.

Development

Provision of the solution

With an approved VisionScope document and an agreement on the implementation of the defined project, Vision People establishes the agreed software licenses, as well as development and testing environments for the solution.

Vision People associates a project manager who prepares a detailed project plan and, together with your project manager, manages the project safely throughout the phases, and who continuously reports on the progress of the project within the project team.

Vision People initiates our development and testing of the agreed custom programming, integrations and apps for the solution, and we get all the solution elements to play together.

As part of Vision People's quality assurance, the solution is tested by one (or more) business consultant(s) to ensure that the functionality matches what is agreed in the VisionScope document.

After that, the consultant makes a Installation sample with the company, where you can ascertain that the agreed software and apps are made available to you - ready for your training and system setup and testing.

Implementation

Your most resource-intensive period of the project

After Vision Peoples development and testing, your new, modern cloud solution is now ready for deployment with you, starting with your training and typesetting of system parameters and user rights so that you can test all corners of the solution.

This phase requires a great resource pull from you, as all your work processes must be tested and be approved in the new solution before it is put into operation. Vision People will provide a template for a test plan, which you must complete with just (all) your internal processes, so that we together in the project management can follow and ensure the progress of the test.

Along the way, you will encounter any inappropriations and/or errors that are reported in a Incident Report via email to incident@visionpeople.dk). Errors in relation to what was agreed in the VisionScope document will be corrected and tested by Vision People, after which you will be given the task for testing again.

Any new requests for the solution that are not stated in the VisionScope document will be handled as Change Requests by Vision People's project manager, as new tasks and are evaluated in the project group in relation to the agreed economy and project schedule and will be scheduled as a starting point for the Optimization phase, so that new tasks do not delay the agreed Go-Live date for the ongoing project.

During this phase, Vision People's project manager will frequently meet with and report to you on the status of ongoing Incident Reports, the progress and finances of the project, as well as any issues that may have arisen that need to be dealt with so that the agreed milestones are met.

The test course typically lasts 3-6 weeks with daily dialogue between test users, your project manager and the Vision Peoples project team. We continuously correct errors and ensure that the solution is ready for a successful Hand over.

Commissioning

Go-live and celebration of commissioning

After a successful Takeover Trial, the solution is now so thoroughly tested that it is put into operation. Vision People moves the solution from the test to the production environment and updates the solution with current production data from the old solution, so that the agreed historical data is now available in the commissioned solution.

The commissioning phase begins with changing the 'pointers' from the test environment to the production environment - and then the focus must be on supporting colleagues who have to get used to the new system and changed (yet tested and approved) workflows. Often it takes a few weeks of daily use of the solution before the benefits are fully experienced and everyone is flush with the solution.

We recommend that the project team meet within the first week to ensure that the Operational Test is completed and the solution works as agreed in the production environment as well. After this, the project is completed and new tasks are handled in an Optimization phase, which includes support and planning for further development.

And then we celebrate the commissioning with a Go live cake!

Optimization

Now the value in the solution must be realized

After implementing and stabilizing the new solution, it is important to support users with support and advice in the solution's new, smart features. New ideas and needs often arise when users become familiar with the system - and perhaps further optimization opportunities are identified in the form of new integrations or further digitization of the processes and other business areas of the company that can be advantageously handled in the new solution as well. Possibly also by adding new apps.

We recommend ongoing progress meetings with Vision People to ensure that the solution creates maximum value for the company.

New requests may be gathered into a new project definition and processed efficiently using the same method as the original project — but with fewer resources and shorter time and faster realisation of value.

Same project methodology for different industries

Basically it is VP SureStep, which we use as a project model for all our projects, regardless of industry and size.

The methodology is similar, but there may be specific integrations, test scenarios and scopes, as well as stakeholders to be included and consulted in the project team, depending on the industry and/or solution to be implemented.

Vision People's project documents are adapted to the different industries, so that everything is “familiar” when defining the solution and project.
