All our Utility customers use the same solution foundation, based on the standard Business Central from Microsoft, with integrated standard apps and integrations to handle the specific processes and reporting requirements that Supply Companies are subject to.

Instead of developing special functionality for the ERP system ourselves to meet the requirements of a Supply Company, we have put together a Supply package consisting of VisionSupply for Business Central - together with a good selection of associated apps, each of which optimizes and streamlines the work processes of the Utility Companies. All based on standard software and apps that can be selected from or to, depending on the needs, wishes and ambition level of the utility company.
The water in the utilities is not the same! However, often the related workflows in the different utilities can basically be handled in the same standard software, where different apps can still be selected for different requirements - and there is still the possibility to develop your own specific customizations if necessary.
VisionSupply is already integrated with the usual providers such as KMD Easy Energy, which handles consumption accounting, so that consumption settlement data with integrated account mapping is automatically loaded into financial logs.
Rather than having to do an IT development project themselves, VisionSupply and Business Central can already handle most of the system integrations that our Utility companies have today - from KMD Easy and Power BI to Outlook integration to shift and vacation scheduling in the calendar.

VisionSupply is an app for utilities that extends and improves the functionality of the standard Business Central, so that the solution, via setups, meets the specific work processes and tasks that our Supply Companies have in their daily lives, from the finance department to the project managers and to the people who carry out the utility's projects and tasks in daily life. The solution is automatically updated from Micrsoft and the app suppliers, so that the Utility does not have to bear the cost of the software updates, but simply ensure that the new functionality that is continuously added to the solution fits into the Supply Company's way of handling the work processes. A total solution for utilities will typically also include several apps for e.g. time tracking (VisionTime), project and task management (VisionPlanning), loading OIOubl invoices (VisionOIO), approving purchase vouchers (VisionApproval), deleting or anonymizing old data (VisionGDPR), approving modified payment information (VisionSecurity), handling bank-related processes (Continia Payment) Management) and possibly barcode-based recording of storage processes (VisionScan).
With VisionSupply, you also get automatic billing of the various charges when you load OIO invoices. In a clear overview image, you can create and maintain the different tax rates to which received invoices should be distributed, so that tax accounting is done automatically.
VisionSupply streamlines and centralises the Supply Company's project management so that both the finance department, project managers and management can have a complete overview of all projects, their status and responsible employees. VisionSupply simplifies, among other things, the process of guided project creation through templates for Operations and Construction projects, consecutive project numbers for main and sub-projects respectively, automatic creation of project dimension values that match the project number) so that project entries, financial records and vendor entries match, for example, project accounting records. In addition, the project template ensures that the created project tasks are always unique so that they can be analyzed across the projects.
VisionSupply extends the standard budget module in Business Central, making it easy to work with project budgets for project managers, finance department and management. Added the ability to work with both a working budget that is continuously reviewed and adjusted, as well as an approved budget, which is typically the budget approved by the Board of Directors. Budgeting is further optimized through a simplified overview of the project budget, where project managers can easily enter the budget designed with a focus on ease of use. The project manager chooses whether to create the budget as resources, goods or financial accounts - and enters it with the degree of detail desired in the supply in relation to project tasks and accrual, typically at the annual level. VisionSupply allows quick copying of project budgets into financial budgets, so that financial budgets can be worked efficiently, without manual handling or double entry of project bids. It is also possible to multiply an invoice on the project budgets when copying and, if necessary, filtering which projects should be included in the financial budgeting.
VisionSupply ensures automatic synchronization of master data, such as projects and dimensions, between the Service Company (or Holding) and the network companies (also called the Trade Companies). Projects are typically created in the network companies, as main and sub-projects respectively via a project creation wizard, and synchronized from there to the Service Company.
With VisionSupply, manual cost allocations are changed to automatic cost allocation between the service company and out to the utility's grid companies. This means that all costs from both time consumption, supplier invoices, administration costs and plant depreciation recorded in the service company are automatically invoiced to and posted to respective network companies, via the project synchronization from VisionSupply, which also ensures that all projects in the network companies are automatically created in the service company, so that repurchases can be recorded on the correct project in the network company, possibly with a mark-up on the cost price that can be differentiated by resource group, project and project task via VisionSupply. Hours consumed and supplier invoices will typically be recorded directly with the grid company, but allocation of administrative or common costs can be made in different ways in VisionSupply, either by billing hours and costs with a pre-calculated overhead or from an allocation key on a project with percentage distribution among the network companies (which can still be edited before posting).
VisionSupply delivers real-time reports and dashboard overviews in Business Central or via Power BI, giving the entire Utility company insight and overview of ongoing construction and operational projects. Analyze costs and time spent across projects and task types and view costs against budgets overall and for each project, so you can see deviations and act based on current data and knowledge.
