Frequently asked questions
Below you'll find some of the questions we often receive from new customers – along with our answers. If you can't find the answer to your question, you're welcome to contact us.
What pricing plans are available for Business Central?
Business Central pricing
Business Central is licensed per user per month, and the price depends on the license type. You choose between Essentials (finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, projects, CRM and more) and Premium, which adds the service and manufacturing modules. A company can only have one license type – Essentials and Premium users cannot be mixed.
Employees who only use Business Central occasionally can make do with a Team Member license, which is far cheaper than a full user. A Team Member can read all data and perform a limited set of tasks – for example register time, update existing records and approve documents such as purchase invoices in a workflow – but cannot post documents.
Subscription options
You can choose a monthly or yearly subscription, and the number of user licenses can be adjusted up or down when the agreed subscription period expires. Contact us for a concrete price estimate for your solution.
Is Business Central an ERP system?
Yes – Business Central is a full ERP system
ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning, and Business Central covers financial management, bookkeeping, purchasing, sales, inventory, project management and service in one solution. Many know it best as accounting software, but accounting is only one part of the system.
If you need more, Business Central is easily extended with apps – for example time tracking or warehouse scanning – without losing the benefits of a standard solution.
What integration options are there for Business Central?
Integration of Business Central
Business Central offers multiple integration options that allow it to connect with other systems and applications. This includes integration with Microsoft 365, Power BI, and many third-party applications.
API access
The system provides API access, allowing developers to create customized integrations to suit specific business needs. This ensures that data can flow freely between systems, improving data quality and decision-making.
What benefits do Vision People apps offer to users?
Benefits of Vision People's apps
Vision People's apps offer a number of benefits that can help companies optimize their processes. One of the biggest advantages of an app is that the solution is validated by Microsoft and meets the requirements to be sold and downloaded from Microsoft AppSource, where all users can read and view all apps for example Business Central, Outlook, Office 365 and more.
The fact that an app meets Microsoft's requirements also means that the app provider ensures that the app is compatible with future versions of Business Central, and that the user experience is unchanged from Business Central, which makes it easy for employees to navigate and perform tasks through the app quickly and efficiently.
Integration
Vision People's apps can be easily integrated with customers' existing systems, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to daily work tasks. This allows companies to achieve even greater value with their current investments in technology and systems that now integrate with each other.
Scalability
Another important advantage is scalability. Vision People's apps can be further customized according to the company's future needs, allowing it to grow without having to change system or app.
What is Business Central?
Microsoft's cloud ERP system
Business Central (formerly Dynamics NAV/Navision) is Microsoft's cloud-based ERP and financial system for small and medium-sized businesses. It brings accounting, purchasing, sales, inventory, projects and customer management together in one system that Microsoft updates automatically.
Because Business Central is built on Microsoft's cloud platform, it works closely with Office 365, Power BI and the many apps on Microsoft AppSource – including our own.
Can you track time from a mobile phone?
Yes, with VisionTime, time tracking can be done on the website from both mobile, tablet and PC. Save the page as a bookmark on your phone's home screen, and you get an icon that takes you straight to time tracking next time.
When you register time in VisionTime and your immediate manager has approved the registrations, the time records are moved to your Business Central, so that the company has an overview of what projects and tasks the time has been spent on, and payroll accounting can transfer the recorded data to the payroll system so that the salary can be calculated and paid correctly.
