When IT meets human insight, it is also about the everyday details that simply need to work. That is why we have improved a number of our operations and security apps in Business Central (formerly Dynamics NAV), so you get fewer surprises and more control. Here are the most important updates.
VisionConnector
If you need to synchronise data precisely, you can now make sure that primary key fields are always included in the synchronisation when records are created. A new option to synchronise default values sends all field values along, whether or not they have been changed. Partners can also extend VisionConnector with their own logic through a new integration event, without touching the app itself. On top of this come a number of improvements to code quality, tooltips and translations, and online help is now available directly from the product pages.
VisionGDPR
We have made anonymisation more robust. Field links between tables are now validated, so you no longer run into cryptic runtime errors, and incompatible field types are caught the moment the link is saved. A link now also works correctly when one of the fields is empty, and values are formatted language-neutrally, so dates and numbers match regardless of the user's language. Records that have already been anonymised are correctly skipped, so they are not processed again.
VisionIdentity
When you look up VAT numbers, VisionIdentity now retrieves data automatically from the EU service VIES when the Danish CVR business register (the Danish central company register) finds no match, and fills in name, address, postal code, city and country. Lookups against VIES are skipped for countries outside the EU, and countries where the VAT prefix differs from the country code are handled correctly. In the request log you can now see which client type ran each lookup, for example web client or background run, making it easier to trace where a lookup came from.
VisionOpenAPI
Your reporting and BI integrations now read only committed data and no longer see values from transactions that are still open or later rolled back. We have separated the date filtering, so Since filters on the modification time and RangeStart/RangeEnd on the creation time. An unnecessary database commit on every record has been removed, giving markedly faster responses on large data volumes. On-premises, you should make sure that READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT is enabled on the SQL server.
VisionSandbox
When the state of an Entra application changes, the linked Business Central user is now automatically enabled or disabled during sandbox provisioning. The Continia PartnerZone password is now shown masked on the setup page, and we have fixed an issue where provisioning did not prompt correctly for the activation of a Continia product.
VisionSecurity
You can now prevent payment lines with a VisionSecurity usage restriction from being exported via Continia Banking, so finance staff cannot bypass approval and locking. We have also fixed an issue with workflow templates when the default Reset Templates button was used, improved the help link and tooltips, and added an Assisted Setup and a What's New action.
